Conference & Event Collaboration

ASCA is pleased to collaborate with SCAs to ensure state conferences best represent the school counseling profession, provide access to relevant and current materials and expand the understanding of value of SCA and ASCA membership.

If you have a request outside of what is listed here, let us know. We are pleased to collaborate to ensure your conference is the best it can be.

Please direct all requests to Leisl Moriarty a minimum of four weeks (six-eight weeks preferred) from the start of the conference to ensure adequate assistance can be provided whenever possible.

Presentation or Training requests

SCAs may request an ASCA staff or board member attend their conference to present a breakout or keynote session on the state of the school counseling profession, advocacy, a new or hot topic being addressed nationally, etc. Learn more.

ASCA selects a number of SCA conferences to present at and exhibit with each year. When ASCA presents (without request from SCA) or exhibits, ASCA pays applicable registration or exhibiting fee and covers all its expenses.

Virtual Session Delivery Available

ASCA staff is available to deliver any of the sessions below virtually throughout the year. If interested, please reach out with your preferred date and time to schedule.

Trainings Available for SCA Conferences

ASCA on-site trainings are often requested for SCA pre-conference workshops. Allow six-eight weeks to schedule on-site trainings. Full-day training cost is $3,250 (in circumstances requiring extensive travel arrangements, additional fees may apply) or virtually for $2,500. Review the full list of available trainings.

Publication orders

SCAs may request ASCA publications to sell at conferences and trainings. Learn more.

Materials Requests

ASCA creates brochures and materials to advance the profession through understanding of best practices for a variety of topics applicable to the role of the school counselor. Request high-resolution files to print locally to use for advocacy efforts, at professional development events, etc. Learn more.

ASCA States conference mobile app

ASCA has developed a custom mobile app for SCA's to use for their conferences. Check it out in in your app store by searching ASCA States.

Features include the schedule and session listings, session evaluations, exhibitor and sponsor profiles, an attendee roster (optional), as well as general information you want accessible such as FAQ/hotel/parking/travel/maps, etc. Newly added features also include direct registration verification to association management software as well as video capabilities – pre-recorded or live stream.

To get started, notify Leisl Moriarty and include contact information (name and email address) for anyone who should have administrative access to get the app set up.
