Membership Remittance

As a means to increase dual membership at the state and national level, ASCA offers to collect SCA professional membership dues as a courtesy to members joining or renewing their ASCA membership. Currently, 42 SCAs participate. Remittance is issued monthly, with reporting sent by the 5th and payment issued by the 10th of the month following (e.g. all September collected dues are remitted by Oct. 5 and payment is issued by Oct. 10).

Tips for Processing Remits

1. Add a unique payment tender to your AMS - ASCA Remit, Joined through ASCA, etc. This allows payment to be realized and tracked internally and by members acknowledging that funds were received successfully. 
2. Outline the renewal date for those who join through ASCA. Most SCAs have a grace window for membership, meaning if you join on March 2, your membership will formally expire March 31 of the following year. 
3. Consider processing ASCA remits in real time by setting up a confirmation email and receiving a blind copy on each confirmation message. Real time can be within 2-3 days, within a week, etc. It simply means not waiting for the formal remit to add individuals to your system. When the remit report is received, individuals processed using the tender can be quickly reviewed on a generated report.
