NVSCA is excited to announce that the 2019 NVSCA Annual Conference will be in Las Vegas with the theme “Ignite to Impact.” As school counselors across the state work to implement programs and interventions to assist all students, this theme provides the impetus to achieve higher impact on our student populations.
Over the course of the next few weeks, you can expect to see a call for proposals. With all of the great things that school counselors are achieving, we hope you will consider presenting ideas and programs that are working well on your campus. We would also enjoy learning about new or exciting ways to use technology, ideas for developing actionable goals, presenting information to stakeholders, teaching students coping mechanisms, identifying ways to overcome cultural barriers, and more. So many topics are possible and school counselors across the state would love to hear about them from you.
We are in final preparations to release the date and venue of the conference, so you will soon receive an announcement that information with details on how to register for the conference. We will also provide you with some ideas for encouraging your administration to support you in attending the conference. Watch your inbox for these emails and announcements.
