MSCA to Elect 3 Members to New Board of Directors
As approved during the 2016 Delegate Assembly meeting, MSCA is moving to a nine-member Board of Directors. The first three of these directors will be elected during the 2017 Fall Conference, November 5-7 at the Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach. Online voting will open on October 24 on the MSCA website, www.moschoolcounselor.org, and conclude on Tuesday, November 7. Paid MSCA members may vote only once for the three candidates of their choice. The winners will be announced during the Closing Session on Tuesday, November 7. Candidates are Matthew Berry, Jeanine Davison, Nancy Doubrava, Becky Houtchens, Lori Kayser, Linda Meadows and Tosha Todd.

Save the Date for the 2018 Take Ten Conference: March 2 in Cape Girardeau
Make plans to join your colleagues for the 2018 MSCA Take Ten Conference in Cape Girardeau on Friday, March 2. This year’s event will feature Carol Buchholz Holland, Ph.D., NCC, associate professor and school counseling coordinator at North Dakota State University. Dr. Holland will be presenting on solution-focused counseling strategies for school counselors. The event will take place at the Drury Inn Conference Center, 3351 Percy Drive in Cape Girardeau.
