Drew Wright is the tobacco prevention coordinator for Clark, Hot Spring and Saline Counties, in connection with the Arkansas Department of Health’s Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program (TPCP). He visits and provides resources to public schools, medical offices and generally anywhere that requires education and cessation regarding the current vaping epidemic. His office offers resources designed for various student age groups, and for adults at both the parental and educator levels. Mr. Wright states that, because vape use is starting at younger ages, education about vaping has been a top priority for TPCP. A new program that is offered is “Coral’s Reef,” for our elementary students, which promotes a vape-free lifestyle in a fun and educational setting.
If you are interested in speaking with Mr. Wright about visiting your school or counseling teams, please contact him for assistance and resources to help continue to build a healthier and safer future for our youth.
