First and foremost, I hope that this message finds you and your family healthy and safe. This is beyond an unprecedented time because it defies the imagination with just how affected we all are as a society, community, and as educators. My heart goes out to all of you and words cannot express how grateful I am to be part of a profession that is compassionate, caring and supportive.

On April 1, 2020, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to present an Illinois School Counselor Association support webinar with the executive board (Leslie Goines, past president; Kirsten Perry, president-elect; and TaRael Kee, president-elect-elect) and Pamela Nehrke, VP of Graduate Students. More than 360 school counselors attended. In this support webinar, we provided broad understanding of the logistical implications of remote learning and the impact of COVID-19. Specifically, we discussed strategies for virtual counseling, counseling within the three domains and counselor self-care. Please consider this as a foundational resource and we look forward to providing additional opportunities to connect, collaborate and learn.
