Scenes from the KSCA Conference

School Counselors from around the state gathered in Lexington February 20–22 to hear inspiring speakers, discuss ideas, learn new strategies and develop innovative ways to provide services to our students and our schools. Conference provided the opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new connections, and participation by first-timers was higher than ever before.
KSCA members approved updated by-laws, officially becoming a chartered state chapter of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA). We celebrated the contributions of KSCA past presidents and recognized those individuals who continue to propel our profession forward. Moving our awards ceremony to an evening event enabled several principals, superintendents, legislators and family members to attend.
